The Big Read events were a great success at the libraries. Special highlights include:
Marzena Button, a customer at Cliffdale Regional Branch Library, was the winner of a $100 gift card to Barnes & Noble during the library’s The Big Read & Recycle contest.
Winners of the essay contest were Julia Evans (R. Max Abbott Middle School), Maegen Rogers (Gray’s Creek High School), Caroline Tung Richmond, and Sarah LaComa. Read those essays on the library web site.
The Fahrenheit 451 quilt exhibit attracted nine participants, with artistic quilts like “Flames in the Night,” “Burning with Curiosity,” and “A Torch-ered Spirit.” Check out all the quilts!
